Participation in the World Dwarf Games (WDG) is open to all little people – regardless of athletic level. As DKS, we handle all communication with the organizer, assemble Team Germany, and prepare participation logistically.
All little people from Germany can join the German Dwarf Sport (DKS). Those who regularly attend our events and are interested in competitions have the opportunity to become part of Team Germany – our national team for international competitions such as the World Dwarf Games.
No. DKS is open to anyone who enjoys sports and community. There is no athletic qualification. Anyone who is a member of BKMF e.V. can automatically join the DKS.
The German Dwarf Sport is a working group within BKMF. As such, DKS functions as a unit specifically dedicated to promoting athletic activities for little people.
We welcome every helping hand – little people or not! If you'd like to contribute your skills in organisation, support, coaching, media, marketing, or as a helper at events, just get in touch with us.
No, there is no additional fee. If you are a BKMF member, you can also join the DKS. Only certain events, such as training camps, may require participant contributions.
Not at all! Whether you're just starting or already experienced – everyone is welcome. Our programmes are designed for both beginners and advanced participants.
No. It doesn't matter whether you do sport regularly or just feel like being active. You don't have to be part of a club – the main thing is that you enjoy movement and community!
No, that's not necessary. However, it helps if you attend some of our events – that way we get to know you better and can assess how you fit into the team.
Not necessarily. For training camps and events, citizenship is not required. Only for the World Dwarf Games is team assignment based on nationality – here, German citizenship or a clear link to Germany (e.g., residence) is relevant.
Our events and equipment are currently mostly funded through BKMF's own resources and grants. We keep participation fees as low as possible. Travel to and from events must currently be organised and paid for individually.
